Va. Teen Struck By Dirt Bike Heading To Beyonce Concert In Baltimore
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A northern Virginia teenager has been seriously injured after being struck by a dirt bike in Baltimore.
Baltimore police say the incident happened Friday evening when the dirt bike rider hit the girl as she crossed the street at the Inner Harbor before fleeing.
The girl's father tells The Baltimore Sun that the victim is a high school senior from Fairfax County, who was in Baltimore with a friend heading to the Beyonce concert when she was hit.
The victim's father says his daughter's friend said a group of dirt bikers drove through the crosswalk they were using.
He says the victim suffered bruising and bleeding on the brain but is communicating with family.
Police don't have a suspect, but say the dirt bike used in the incident was recovered.
