Uber, Lyft Cars Have More Germs Than A Toilet Seat, Study Finds

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — You may want to break out the hand sanitizer the next time you hop in an Uber or Lyft.

A new analysis by an insurance company, NetQuote, found the average rideshare has 35,000 more germs than a toilet seat.

That's more than the average taxi or rental car.

Researchers found the worst areas for germs are window buttons and seat belts.
