Twelve children hurt in school bus crash in White Marsh

BALTIMORE - Twelve children were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a school bus crashed in White Marsh, according to the Baltimore County Public Schools.

The bus crash happened around 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday at Ebenezer Road and U.S. 40.

There were 41 students aboard the bus for Vincent Farm Elementary School, according to school officials.

A letter was sent to parents at the school.

"This morning, your child's bus was involved in an accident," the letter read. "We followed our protocol for bus accidents and all students were evaluated by EMS.  Several students were injured and are being transported to a local hospital. The remaining students are safe on the bus and will be brought to school when police give the all clear." 

No other information was provided.
