Towson Slips Past Morgan State 51-46

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Four McGlynn scored all 13 of his points in the second half, including 6 of 6 free throws in the final 4 minutes, to help Towson hold off Morgan State 51-46 on Monday night.

Towson trailed 35-30 with 12:35 remaining before switching to a zone defense, stymieing the Morgan State offense and sparking a 10-2 run which was capped a 3-pointer by A.J. Astroth and during which McGlynn scored seven points.

Towson (1-1) would never trail again.

Morgan State (0-2) cut its deficit to 47-46 when Rasean Simpson blocked a shot, setting up a fast break layup by Donte Pretlow with 19 remaining.

The Bears immediately fouled and McGlynn hit a pair free throws.

After Clive Vaughan Jr. missed a 3 on the other, McGlynn made two more free throws with 7 seconds left to seal it.
