Top 4 Bandwagons For U.S. Fans To Jump On

By Adam Bloom

Team USA's loss to Belgium was just devastating. While Tim Howard was a beast on goal – it seemed like the USA might actually pull out a win. Then Belgium scored 2 goals in extra time and all hope was lost. But wait – a U.S. goal with time to spare gave us hope - real hope. And then it was taken. Let's pull ourselves up, wipe ourselves off and jump on the bandwagon of another team. After all, we still have more World Cup to watch.  So which team to choose? Here are four teams you might be interested in.

4. Belgium

I know its like pouring salt into fresh wounds – but there is a saying about being beaten by the best - and if Belgium ends up winning the whole thing then there might be a bit of solace knowing the champions had to run through the USA to get to the top.

3. Argentina

One word: Messi. One of the greatest players to play the game has never won a World Cup – and many think destiny is on his side this year. Known as "The Flea", Lionel Messi has looked brilliant throughout the tournament - scoring three goals in his first four games. If Argentina makes it to the finals, you'll be sitting pretty waving the Argentinian flag and screaming Messi's name like you've been watching him for years.

2. Costa Rica

If you love underdogs then Costa Rica is your team. Coming into the tournament, the small Central American country was ranked #31 and are now one of the final eight. Hard work and incredible determination got them to this point which was capped by an unbelievably dramatic shootout over Greece. ¡Viva Costa Rica!

1. Brazil

When all else fails, grab a cold beverage and root for the home team. Brazil has proven to be a great host to these games and they are playing fantastic fútbol. If you are a fan of favorites and attractive fans decked in yellow, Brazil is your team.
