The Scott Garceau Show Talks Ray Rice Contract Termination
After the news broke that the Baltimore Ravens had released Ray Rice following the TMZ release of video of him knocking his then fiance' (now wife) out & the NFL's indefinite Suspension The Scott Garceau Show took a look at the news, the implications for the Ravens & fielded calls from Raven fans.
Jeremy:
"The fact that there is visual evidence, we have video evidence of this, changes everything, because you SEE how despicable this act is....21 teams have someone who was convicted of domestic assault or domestic violence and none of those guys have been kicked out of the league...I'm not saying the Ravens deserve a pat on the back for doing this, but if they are taking a step forward in the wake of all this, it's the right thing to do"
Caller 1: "I wasn't surprised when I saw the video this morning, I clicked on the video & I knew what I was going to see when I clicked on the video. So, what's changed? Why didn't the Ravens kick him off the team last week?"
Scott: "Public Outcry from media & fans. And tweets from players in the league. All of that adds up."
Caller 2: "I'm Heartbroken & Pissed...I was one of these people...that (thought) nobody had seen the video & we should be suspending judgement until we saw the video. And what I saw was that when Ray Rice is drunk he acts like a thug. Didn't Roger Goodell see the video?" "If Goodell had seen it how could he possibly have given him 2 games?"
*The NFL & the Ravens say they had not seen the video until today.
Scott: "My hunch is 90-95% of the fans think the league & the Ravens did the right thing."
