The 5 Longest Home Runs Hit At Camden Yards
Since it's opening, Oriole Park at Camden Yards has been known as a hitter's park. The right field line is 318 feet & 333 feet down the left field line. Center field is 400 feet & the deepest part of the park is left center at 410 feet. These friendly confines have resulted in a lot of home runs, and more than a fair share of fly ball & line drive homeruns.
But this list is interested in the longest, no doubt, crushed ball home runs in Oriole Park's history. Home runs that would be a home run in any ballpark in MLB.
5. 452 Feet - Eric Davis (While playing for the Detroit Tigers) hit a 452 foot shot on Sept. 26th 1993
4. 457 Feet - Red Sox 1st Baseman Mo Vaughn hit a 457 foot bomb on July 7th, 1996
3. 460 feet - Orioles outfielder Jeffrey Hammonds mashed a 460 footer on Sept. 15th, 1997
2. 463 Feet - Oakland A's DH Pedro Munoz crushed this one on May 25th, 1996
1. 465 Feet - On June 17th 1998 New York Yankee Darryl Strawberry hit the longest home run in OPACY's history. A 465 foot home run to center!
