Dropped wallet leads to arrest in deadly Labor Day shooting outside of Parkville school, police say

Alleged gunman in deadly Parkville shooting left identification

BALTIMORE -- James Clark, 44, was arrested and charged in a shooting on Labor Day that left a father dead and his son injured. A wallet with Clark's identification was located in the parking lot of White Oak School in Parkville and led to his arrest, according to police.

Clark is facing first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder charges.

Police responded to the 8400 block of Leefield Road, outside of the school, around 4:20 p.m. following reports of gunshots. The school was closed for the Labor Day holiday.

"Thank God that it was a holiday," a neighbor said. "If it wasn't a holiday, the kids would have been up here. Who knows how many would have been shot."

Romy Bogier, 43, was shot in the head and died at a hospital and his son emerged from a wooded area nearby with a fractured skull, court documents said.

Surveillance video showed an unidentified man and both victims arrive in the parking lot in a vehicle owned by Bogier. During an argument, Bogier allegedly pulled out a small handgun before he was tackled and had his gun taken away, according to court documents. The suspect then allegedly shot Bogier in the head.

After Bogier was shot, his son ran away and was shot at three times, court documents stated.

Police said Clark's image and likeness from his identification were consistent with the suspect in the video. That person was wearing a blue Los Angeles Dodgers jacket and had a noticeable limp. Documents said body-worn video from Clark's previous arrest last December showed him wearing the same jacket.

Clark is being held on no bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
