5 Shot, 26-Year-Old Killed In Overnight Shootings

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Five people were shot, and a 26-year-old man was killed in multiple shootings overnight into Sunday.

Late Saturday Night Shootings:

The overnight shootings began a little before the end of Saturday night, at around 8:57 p.m. when police were dispatched to the intersection of North Woodington Road and Woodridge Road to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the location they observed a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police were later dispatched at around 11:08 p.m. to the 3700 block of East Lombard Street to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived they found a 34-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Sunday Shootings:

Just after midnight, police were dispatched to an area hospital after a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment was reported.

When officers arrived at the location they found a 28-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

Citywide Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation. The victim told detectives that the shooting occurred in the 3300 block of McElderry Street.

At around 2:37 a.m., police were called to the 1300 block of North Woodington Road to investigate reports of gunfire heard in the area.

When they arrived they found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A 26-year-old man is dead after suffering from gunshot wounds early Sunday morning shortly before 7 a.m. in East Baltimore.

At around 6:55 a.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Rose Street to investigate a reported shooting.

When they arrived they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics were called and pronounced the victim dead.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
