Subway repairs complete after car derailment Monday evening

Subway partially derailed near Rogers Ave., five hospitalized

BALTIMORE — The Maryland transportation authority announced the completion of repairs to Rogers Station due to the derailment on Monday. 

At around 6 p.m., Monday, a Metro Subway operator reported a derailment as the railcar approached the Rogers Avenue station platform. The railcar remained upright and connected to the other cars, MTA said. 

Five riders were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. 

MDOT MTA is still investigating the cause of the incident.

A bus bridge is currently in place to accommodate passengers between Owings Mills and Penn North stations.
