Submachine Gun Among Weapons Seized By Baltimore Police

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Police say a man was arrested after officers seized a submachine gun and a handgun from a home in northwest Baltimore.

Police say a search warrant was served at the home on Friday. Detectives found a large amount of ammunition in addition to the submachine gun and handgun.

Forty-four-year-old Troy Green was arrested and is being held at Baltimore's booking facility.

Baltimore police say they also arrested two men after they found a loaded handgun and ammunition during a search of a vehicle on Saturday evening. Police say both men were prohibited form possessing a firearm. They've been identified as 24-year-old Clarence Mundell and 21-year-old Jacob Hayes. They're awaiting bail hearings.
