Sports Rehab Interview: John Maginnes Talks U.S. Open
Pro golfer John Maginnes of the PGA Tour Network joins Bob Haynie and Glenn Younes on Sports Rehab to talk about the first round of the U.S. Open. at Pinehurst.
"It's a hard golf course no matter when you come to play it." Maginnes said. "There's a very small group of people that know how to win one of these championships."
Maginnes also elaborated on the mentoring relationship between Jack Nicklaus and Rory Mcilroy. "Jack is always willing to help young golfers, no matter who it is, but you can tell Rory really benefited from it."
While Martin Kaymer of Germany is currently leading the Open at 5-under-par, Maginnes contends that the following days of golf will prove to be challenging. "[A]nybody under par wins the golf tournament."
