The Ravens knocked off the Redskins at this past Saturday night 23-17 in front of a sold out crowd at M&T Bank Stadium. The story of the night was the Ravens first team defense who were playing without starting cornerbacks Jimmy Smith and Lardarius Webb. Ravens pass rush was on full display as they hurried Redskins starter Robert Griffin III for much of the first half and held the Skins first team offense to 3 points.

Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense struggled running the ball in the first half. Flacco threw for 180 yards in the first half including a 24-yd touchdown pass to Steve Smith Sr during the two minute drill. The offensive line had problems opening holes in the run game as the team failed to convert two 4th and 1 situations. When asked about the stuggles in the run game, Harris replied "they need to fix the run game quickly. This offense won't work unless they can run the ball effectively."
