Smoke Reported On Metro At Woodley Park Station In D.C.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says a disabled train has been taken out of service at the Woodley Park station where there were reports of smoke in the station.

Metro spokeswoman Caroline Laurin says a train had a mechanical problem Saturday, and it was offloaded at Woodley Park on the red line. Laurin says the D.C. fire department was called as a standard procedure.

Trains are continuing to run on the red like, though there are delays. Metro says the Woodley Park station remains open.

Laurin says there were no confirmed reports of any injuries or anyone treated for smoke inhalation.
