Sidney Thomas Named Baltimore City Schools Teacher Of The Year

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A huge congratulations to Baltimore City's Teacher of the Year!
The district surprised Holabird Academy social studies teacher Sidney Thomas on Thursday. CEO Sonja Santelises calls Thomas a dynamic teacher, who is committed to racial equity and to supporting students as they learn.
Outside of the classroom, Thomas serves on the Charm Magazine advisory board and is a One Book Baltimore committee member.
As the Teacher of the Year, she will get a year of classroom supplies and some cash.
