Seattle Prepares For Super Bowl 49
Tim Booth of the AP in Seattle joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about the Seahawks preparations for Super Bowl 49. The biggest news of the day is obviously "Deflate Gate" and the trouble surrounding the New England Patriots. Scott asked Tim if Seattle is paying attention to the story. "I think because of it didn't directly affect the Seahawks, I think it's not causing too much talk out here. Most of the guys are taking it lightheartedly or not really addressing it at all. I thought Richard Sherman had a good quip yesterday when he was asked if he's ever noticed a ball being deflated he said he would have to go back and check his collection of interceptions through the years. So the guys are kind of having fun with it that way and aren't really taking it seriously."
The NFC Championship Game between the Seahawks and Packers will go down as one of the all-time classic games in NFL history. Tim believes Seattle would be in trouble if they would have to play the Superbowl this Sunday. "I think in this case especially, that locker room on Sunday was about as emotional as I've ever seen this team be. There was a lot of raw emotion that came out because of how it all happened. This team has been so good on focusing on this one week at time thing that Pete Carroll preaches. I think it would have been really tough for them to come off that high of what they accomplished last Sunday and have too play this Sunday."
