School Bus Driver Scheduled To Pick Up Students Arrested For DUI

BROOKLANDVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — A school bus driver was on her way to pick up students when she was arrested on Friday.

Police say 52-year-old Pamela L. Willie, of Randallstown, was driving under the influence of alcohol on I-695, when drivers reported her erratic behavior.

According to Maryland State Police, Willie was spotted swerving on to the shoulder multiple times approaching the outer loop at Falls Road, in Baltimore County.

Willie was on her way to a private school in Montgomery County to pick up students for a field trip in Washington, D.C. Police say they don't know where she was driving from, but the bus was registered to Mr. Tim's Bus Rides in Owing Mills, Maryland.

Police say at the time of the arrest they found four empty, full and partially full containers of beer and liquor on the bus.

She was charged with 23 traffic violations and taken to the Golden Ring Barracks where she was processed and released. DUI tests released have not yet been released.

No one was injured during today's incident.
