Salisbury Police Investigate Evidence Room Thefts
SALISBURY, Md. (WJZ) -- Thousands of criminal cases handled by the Salisbury Police Department could be in jeopardy.
It comes amid suspected thefts from the department's evidence storage room which holds 23 year's worth of evidence.
The problem was discovered during a recent internal audit.
Investigators believe a civilian employee may be behind the thefts.
So far, no charges have been filed.
The chief said he's confident justice will be upheld.
