Rt. 1 Reopens After Accident Involving HoCo Medic
HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- A serious accident in Howard County put an ambulance driver in critical condition and six others suffered injuries. Multiple vehicles were involved in this crash on Rt. 1 at Kit Kat Road in Elkridge.

Multiple vehicles were involved, including an ambulance and a tractor trailer. The medic was rushed to Shock Trauma in critical but stable condition. Six other people had minor injuries.
The fire chief says the medic is awake and speaking to family members.
Crews are working to reopen Washington Boulevard. There is still a lot of debris in the road and it looks like it will be closed for the foreseeable future.
The fire chief Tweeted out thanks for those who are praying for those involved, including the medic.
