Ross Grimsley Talks Orioles Starting Pitching
Former Oriole Left Hander, Ross Grimsley, joined the Scott Garceau Show to talk about the Orioles starting pitching issues.
There were a lot of expectations for the Orioles coming into this year. Ross Grimsley talks about how the Orioles starting pitching has not lived up to those expectations, "The starting pitching hasn't even been the way it was last year. People figured Tillman and Norris could repeat and at least win somewhere near 15 games but that hasn't happened. Gonzo (Miguel Gonzalez) has struggled. Chen has been the bright spot and the guy you can expect to go out and keep you in the game with a quality start...but you need more than one guy out of five. Gausman is going to be a guy in the future who is going to need to develop a breaking ball but he has done a really good job for what's happened to him this year. Going up and down is a great idea and it saves pitchers but it kind of retards their progress which has happened to him."
