Ross Grimsley On Orioles Pitching, Limiting Relief Pitchers & More
Ross Grimsley from Baltimore Baseball Tonight joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Orioles pitching staff and tonight's game against the Rockies.
The Orioles pitching rotation has been in question since spring training, but Ross Grimsley joined Norris and Davis to comment on how it's really going.
Norris and Davis asked if the Orioles are fine with the guys that they have or if they should consider a move before the deadline: "If the right deal comes along and it's not going to be too devastating losing a guy in your system, you can never have too much pitching, but the Os guys of late are doing a great job," commented Grimsley.
Ubaldo Jimenez is still a large question mark for the team. Grimsley says, "I have been where he's at, I know exactly... you still think you have the ability to get people out and he still thinks he can help. As far as going to the minor leagues, he's going to take innings away from pitchers down there that need it. It's going to be hard for him to change. He's always had an issue with being consistent, but they knew exactly what this guy was."
