Two people found shot multiple times at Middle River intersection, police say

BALTIMORE -- Two people were found shot Tuesday morning at an intersection in Middle River, authorities said.

About 10:15 a.m., detectives were called to the intersection of Compass Road and Martin Boulevard, where they found the shooting victims, a Baltimore County Police spokesperson said.

The unidentified victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds, the police spokesperson said. Their conditions were unclear as of Tuesday afternoon.

An SUV riddled with bullet holes that apparently crashed into a nearby utility pole could be seen near the intersection. Dozens of evidence markers were also visible at the scene.

The sequence of events between the shooting and crash was not immediately clear Tuesday.

Video given to WJZ shows what appears to be gunfire coming from a white sedan hitting a blue SUV. WJZ has not independently verified the authenticity of that video clip.

"Our detectives are in the process of discovering what actually transpired here and putting the pieces together of what actually happened," Det. Trae Corbin said.

Police said an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 410-307-2020.
