Redskins Offensive Scouting Report from Rob Carlin
Rob Carlin with Comcast Sportsnet called in to the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to share his thoughts on the Redskins offense.
With a host of off field problems, Carlin thinks the real problems are those on the field, "The swirl of noise and controversy that surrounds the franchise everyday makes it so hard, we can't talk about much of what they're actually doing on the field because we're so wrapped up in what's happening off the field, but on the field, their first team offense is looking dreadful, just absolutely dreadful. The fifth overall pick Brandon Scherff is supposed to be a right tackle, he's already been moved to right guard where and just got physically man handled last week against Detroit, so why wouldn't the Ravens do the same thing."
The Redskins glass Quarterback RGIII has the potential to be one of the greats, however, his plague of injury after injury and off field problems have been detrimental to his growth as a player, and as a leader, "not everyone likes each other on a football team, not everyone always respects each other and if they were 12-4 and Robert played like he did in 2012, they'd work with him. But when you're not playing well and he is the central focus of every single report that comes out. I think guys are just sick of it. If you're going to be the story, produce on Sunday, and he's not doing that, by a long shot."
