Ray Rice Has Filed A Grievance Against The Ravens

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Ray Rice has filed a grievance against the Ravens.

According to our media partner, The Baltimore Sun, the grievance challenges the termination of his contract. Rice believes that the Collective Bargain Agreement stipulates one punishment for an infraction, but after video surfaced of the fight between Rice and his then-fiancee, Janay Palmer, he was terminated from the Ravens and suspended by the NFL. This was after his initial two-game suspension by the NFL.

Rice is asking for the $3.5 million he would have earned this season.

The grievance against the NFL will be heard on November 5 and 6; this grievance does not have a hearing date.
