Ravens Make Moves To Trim Roster To 75

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Ravens began their first round of cuts before the regular season by parting with nine players and placing two on injured reserve.

Tight end Ben Watson suffered a season-ending injury during Saturday's game versus the Lions and Kyle Arrington suffered a concussion in the team's first preseason game against the Panthers. The two were placed on injured reserve.

The team waived eight players, including four undrafted rookie free agents; G Jarrell Broxton, DT Trevon Coley, WR Dobson Collins, C Anthony Fabiano, WR Chuck Jacobs, QB Jerrod Johnson, LB Mario Ojemudia and WR Darius White.

The Ravens also terminated the contract of veteran linebacker Kavell Conner, who they signed just as training camp opened.

UPDATED: As of today, August 30, the Ravens made their final moves to get the team roster down to 75. RB Lorenzo Taliaferro has been placed on the regular-season PUP list, DE Bronson Kaufusi, with a broken ankle, and tackle Stephane Nembot have been placed on IR and kicker Wil Lutz has been waived.
