Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome Speaks Out About Ray Rice Video
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A week after being arrested for domestic assault against his fiancée, Ravens star Ray Rice has yet to speak out. But the team's general manager did.

While Ozzie Newsome says he hasn't talked to Rice himself yet, he has seen the video of the aftermath.
It's the shocking video that turned Ray Rice's reputation upside down: TMZ Sports footage showing the Ravens star dragging his unconscious fiancée, Janay Palmer, out of an Atlantic City hotel elevator.
Rice hasn't said anything publicly about what happened, but Saturday, Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome talked about the incident.
Newsome says while he hasn't spoken with Rice, he has seen that now infamous video.
"I did online, just like everybody else did, and it doesn't look good," he said.
The comments came during an interview at the NFL Combine.
Newsome went on to say he'd been wrapped up in meetings, but was going to reserve judgment until he had a chance to speak with Rice.
"I think John [Harbaugh] said it best yesterday... We will let the facts determine what the consequences will be," Newsome said.
Rice was arrested for simple domestic assault. A court summons obtained by WJZ alleges Palmer went unconscious after Ray hit her. Palmer was also arrested for the same charge of simple domestic assault.
The NFL is currently reviewing the incident under its code of conduct policy.
"We would allow the league to take its position before we would have to take any," Newsome said.
Newsome then commented on whether a different version of the incident would emerge with more complete video footage.
"I don't know whether a different story is going to come out. I mean, the video is what it is," Newsome said. "But like I said, up until the process runs its course, we, as an organization, we will stand down."
Rice's Philadelphia-based attorney issued a statement earlier this week, saying the video only shows the end of what happened and not the actual altercation.
He also cautioned against people rushing to judgment until they know all the facts.
A court hearing for the couple that was supposed to happen Tuesday was postponed.
