Prince George's County Officer Suspended After Domestic Incident

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A Prince George's County police officer has been suspended without pay after a domestic-related incident in Calvert County.

Authorities say 35-year-old Cpl. Steven Moure was arrested by the Calvert County Sheriff's Office on Monday while off duty and charged with two counts of assault and one count of child abuse.

Police say Moure has worked for Prince George's County police for nine years and was recently assigned to the Bureau of Administration.

In a statement, Prince George's County Police Chief Mark Magaw called the accusations "troubling."

The details of the incident are still unclear, but online records show the officer posted bond and was released. Online records do not indicate if he has an attorney.
