Police: Teens Drew Swastikas On 3 Buildings

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Two teenagers have been charged with hate crimes for a series of vandalism incidents that targeted the Jewish community in Montgomery County.

Police say the teens drew swastikas on at least three buildings.

Police announced the arrests on Friday. The teens are 17 and 16 years old and were charged as juveniles. Their names were not released and they were released to the custody of their parents.

Among the buildings that were damaged were a synagogue, Young Israel of Potomac, a child care facility and a private residence.

Police say they identified the teens with the help of surveillance video and an officer at the area high school they attend.
