Police Shoot Knife-Wielding Woman In DC

WASHINGTON (WJZ)-- The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting after a knife-wielding woman refused to drop her weapon, according to WUSA9.

It happened Saturday afternoon in the 5300 block of Clay Terrace in Northeast D.C.

WUSA9 reports that after the woman refused to drop her knives, she continued walking toward the officer, which led to gunfire by the officer.

She is currently in stable condition.
