Police Investigate Fatal Crash Involving Officer
MIDDLE RIVER (WJZ) -- A man has died in a serious crash involving a police officer on a Middle River roadway.
Baltimore County police's crash team is investigating the fatal collision that happened just after 11 a.m. Tuesday morning at Eastern Boulevard and Kingston Road.
The victim, man who police have not yet identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The officer from the Essex precinct was responding to a hit-and-run emergency when the crash happened. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment with non life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing, but preliminary information indicated that the officer was traveling westbound on Eastern Boulevard and the civilian was traveling southbound on Old Eastern Avenue.
