Police: DC Man Charged With Sexually Abusing Teen At Mall
WASHINGTON (AP) — A District of Columbia man has been charged with sexual abuse after police say he forced a 17-year-old male to leave a Metro station and then assaulted him in a mall bathroom.
D.C. Superior Court documents say 25-year-old Dominick Simons encountered the teenager May 23 at the Bethesda Metro station. Police say Simons asked to use the teen's phone and then walked away with it. Court documents say that when the teen demanded that the phone back Simons said he was armed and threatened to shoot.
Police say Simons returned the phone but forced the teen to accompany him to the Friendship Heights station and then assaulted the teen in a bathroom of the Chevy Chase Pavilion.
Telephone and e-mail messages left Sunday for Simons' attorney were not immediately returned.
