Police Arrest Repeat Offender For Handgun And Narcotics Violations

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore Police were on surveillance near the 1100 block of West Baltimore Street Tuesday evening when they discovered a man walking into a grassy area and placing a handgun on the ground before entering a location marked for suspected narcotic activity.

Police then arrested the suspect after confiscating the weapon he left outside.

Jerrod Carmichael, 27, was charged with various handgun and narcotic violations.

Carmichael has twice been prohibited from being in possession of a firearm due to his criminal record, and he is currently being held in Central Booking.
