Woman dies after being attacked by stray dogs in West Baltimore

Community reacts to woman's deadly attack by stray dogs

BALTIMORE --  A woman died after being attacked by two stray dogs in West Baltimore Friday evening, according to police.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of North Pulaski Street for a dog bite around 9 p.m. When they arrived, they learned that two stray pit bulls had attacked a 50-year-old woman, who died as a result of her injuries.

Two officers discharged their firearms, striking one of the dogs.  Both dogs were recovered by officers and Animal Control.

Police said they are still investigating the incident.
