Pedestrian Struck, Critically Injured In Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by an SUV in Annapolis Thursday afternoon, the city's fire department said.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of West and Parole streets. Officials said the 35-year-old pedestrian suffered critical and possibly life-threatening injuries; he was airlifted to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment.

The driver was not hurt.

The cause of the crash is unclear.
