Pedestrian Killed In Montgomery County

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP/WJZ) -- A pedestrian was hit and killed Tuesday morning in Montgomery County.

Police say 77-year-old Tschimid Moshkin of Silver Spring was crossing New Hampshire Avenue near Randolph Road in Silver Spring when he was hit.

He died soon after at a hospital.

Officers identified the driver of the car that hit Moshkin as 64-year-old Mark Wesley Chambre of Silver Spring.

The accident is under investigation.
