One man killed, another injured in shooting near Morgan State
BALTIMORE -- One man was killed and another man was injured during a violent shooting near Morgan State University on Sunday, according to authorities.
Officers on patrol on the northeast side of the city received reports of a shooting in the 1500 block of Havenwood Road around 6:45 p.m., police said.
Once there, they found a 22-year-old man and a 56-year-old man with gunshot wounds, according to authorities. The 56-year-old man had been shot in the head, they said.
Medics took both gunshot victims to local hospitals, police said.
Hospital staff pronounced the 56-year-old man dead, according to authorities.

Dozens of evidence markers were scattered across the gas station's parking lot in the aftermath of the gunfire.
The front door of the gas station's convenience store was also damaged by gunfire too.
Morgan State University student Arthur Green said he found the shooting to be particularly sad due to the fact that it happened on Sunday.
"That is truly saddening because, you know, you grow up and you believe that this is the Lord's Day, and to believe that people would do that is truly disheartening," he said.
Green, a Baltimore native, said the violence reflected poorly on the city and its residents.
"Where's our pride to be from here (if) we keep acting like this," Green said. "It's truly sad."
