One dead, two injured after multi-vehicle crash in Mount Vernon

BALTIMORE -- A man is dead and two others are injured after a trash truck crashed into a building in Mount Vernon Friday afternoon.

According to police, the crash occurred near the intersection of Cathedral and Centre Streets around 3:50 p.m.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they found an adult male who was pronounced dead and two individuals who were later taken to the hospital. Those two are in stable conditions.

After a preliminary investigation, police revealed that the trash truck collided with multiple vehicles before striking the building. 

No additional injuries were reported after everyone was evacuated from inside the building. 

In the meantime, multiple streets in the area have been closed.
