O'Malley Suspends His Presidential Campaign
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Former Governor Martin O'Malley has suspended his presidential campaign, according to reports.
He had been coming in a distant third behind Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. He barely registered in the Iowa caucuses and didn't receive the 15% threshold of caucus-goers needed to be considered viable in most of the state's precincts.
In Monday night's Iowa caucus, he struggled to reach even one percent of the poll.
In December, FEC filing documents show that he took out a $500,000 loan in order to continue his campaign. Aides told the Washington Post that some of his staffers have been working without pay.
