Officials Arrest Masseur They Say Sexually Assaulted Women
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County authorities have arrested a masseur they say sexually assaulted two women customers.
Officials arrested 42-year-old Gavin Anthony Otto of Red Door Spa on Dec. 2 on one count of second-degree sex offense and one count of fourth-degree sex offense. They say Otto sexually assaulted a 32-year old woman during a July 7 massage and also inappropriately touched a 37-year old woman during a Nov. 17 massage.
Detectives believe Otto may have sexually assaulted additional people in the spa.
Rebecca Nitkin, an attorney representing Otto, says her client didn't improperly touch the women and that there had never been a complaint made against him in his eight years working at the spa.
Red Door Spa spokeswoman Marjorie Gellert says the spa is cooperating with authorities.
