Off-Duty Officer Charged With Pointing Gun In Road Rage Incident
CURTIS BAY, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County Police say an off-duty Prince George's County police officer has been charged in an alleged road rage incident.
It happened about 7 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 97. Police say a man passed a car driven by Cpl. Joey Torres. Officers say Torres began driving behind the man's car and followed him to Ordnance Road in Curtis Bay, where the man pulled into a parking lot.
Police say Torres blocked the man's car, got out of his vehicle and got a gun from the trunk. Officers say Torres got in front of the victim's car and pointed his gun inside the vehicle.
Police say the man drove away and called 911.
Torres is charged with assault. Prince George's County Police say Torres has been suspended with pay.
