Noticed A Foul Odor Coming From Lake Montebello? Here's Why

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- If you live near Lake Montebello, you may have noticed a foul odor coming from the lake recently.

That's because the Baltimore City Department of Public Works is lowering the water level over the next two weeks to help with plant upgrades.

By lowering the water level, exposed rocks, branches, debris and pockets of sludge are exposed- which causes the foul odor.
