NFC Championship Preview With Mitch Levy
Mitch Levy of Sports Radio KJR in Seattle joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora to preview the NFC Championship Game this Sunday between the Green Bay Packers and defending Super Bowl Champions the Seattle Seahawks. Scott started things off by asking Mitch how the town is feeling being one game away from a second consecutive Super Bowl Appearance. "Nothings a foregone conclusion. I think there's a lot of arrogance here, I think there's a lot of arrogance amongst the twelfth man. A year ago right now we were readying ourselves for that third clash with the Niners. And people were confident even though they had never seen a Super Bowl Champ here before so everyone was nervously confident. I think it's a big difference a year later."
Mitch beleives that this match-up for the Seattle may not be as easy as the fan base or media thinks it is. "Everybody loves to compare this team to last year's team, the Seahawks of '13 to the Seahawks of '14. Everybody is covinced that this team right now is playing better than the team that won the Super Bowl last year. I happen to think it's close but they dont as much consistent pass pressure on quarterbacks this year as they did last year. They certainly don't force as many turnovers this year as they did last year, so if 12 (Aaron Rodgers) has a chance to hang out back there for a while and those receivers have a chance to run free a little bit, they've got two or three good nice receivers. Then they could be a really tough out for the Seahawks on Sunday."
