Motorcyclist Killed In Crash In Lanham

LANHAM, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police say a motorcyclist was killed when his vehicle left the road and hit a guard rail.

It happened about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday on Greenbelt Road in Lanham. Officers say Robert Edward Bailey III, 56, of Silver Spring was driving the motorcycle west when he failed to negotiate a curve.

Police say the motorcycle hit a curb and then a guard rail. Bailey died at a hospital.

The accident is under investigation.
