Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Car

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police say a motorcyclist was killed and two people were hurt when the motorcycle collided with a car in Fort Washington.

It happened about 10:15 p.m. Sunday on Indian Head Highway. Officers say Michael Marquis of Clinton was traveling north on his motorcycle when a car tried to turn onto southbound Indian Head Highway from a parking lot.

Police say the motorcycle struck the car. Marquis, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the car were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Officers say a preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the car failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle.
