Motorcyclist Dies After Howard County Crash

JESSUP, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland motorcyclist has died after crashing into a guardrail in Howard County.

Police say 67-year-old John Edward Barrass of Jessup was driving his motorcycle on Mission Road near Concord Drive on Saturday around 1:30 p.m. when he lost control while going around a curve and crashed into a guardrail. Barrass was thrown from his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Police say a preliminary investigation shows speed and driver error as contributing factors in the fatal crash.
