Mother, 2nd Person Charged In Death Of Infant

EDGEWOOD, Md. (AP) -- The mother of a 3-month-old boy has been charged with killing the infant in Edgewood. A second person is also being sought in the child's death.

On Dec. 16, paramedics were called to a home for a report of a child in cardiac arrest, according to a news release from the Harford County Sheriff's Office. The infant, Aaman Perez, was found to be nonresponsive and pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Deputies say the medical examiner determined that the infant died from head trauma and the manner of death was homicide.

Authorities say the infant's mother, 26-year-old Aja Terry, was arrested early Sunday in Delaware and charged with first-degree homicide and other offenses. Police are looking for 26-year-old Keith Griffin of Edgewood, who is also charged with first-degree homicide.
