Morgan State University Designated Historic Site By American Physical Society
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Morgan State University has been designated as a historic site by the American Physical Society.
On April 28, 1977, Morgan State became the birthplace of the National Society of Black Physicists.
It's now being recognized for its exemplary contributions in the field.
Morgan State President David Wilson said this noted distinction acknowledges the University's early contributions to modern physics, but also the commitment to cultivating tomorrow's STEM leaders.
