Mike Yastrzemski Talks Baysox Playoff Push
Baysox Outfielder and grandson of an MLB Hall Of Famer, Mike Yastrzemski joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about the Baysox' playoff push for the Eastern League Championship.
After winning their first ever Western Division pennant; the Baysox face the Reading Fighting Phils for a chance to win their first Eastern League Championship in franchise history. Riding a 7 game hit streak with 7 RBI's coming into tonight's game, Mike talked about what has helped him excel in the playoffs. "I think I attribute some of that success to college. We had 4 straight years in the playoffs and got a feeling of what it's like in some high intensity games. Experience is the only way you can slow the game down and by playing those important games you get a feel for it."
With the Baysox down 1-0 in the series so far the guys asked Mike what the key to success will be for Bowie tonight. "We got a guy who's a sinker baller. He's trying to get a lot of ground ball outs especially with the thin air out here in the mountains. I think its a matter of staying patient, seeing the right pitches to hit and I think we'll definitely get some and hopefully score some runs."
