Mike Preston Grades The Ravens In A 21-14 Win Over The Steelers
Mike Preston writes a column and covers the Ravens for the Baltimore Sun.
Mike gives out grades to every Ravens position group after every game and here are his grades after a 21-14 win over the rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mike started by grading the performance by quarterback Joe Flacco giving him a grade of C- saying "his passes flutter, especially those to the far side of the field." Mike gave the running backs a grade of D and the offensive line also got a failing grade of D. For the wide receivers a grade of C saying "Mike Wallace had four catches for 124 yards including a 95 yarder for a touchdown in the first quarter...Steve Smith was a factor though not a major contributor."
On the defensive side of the ball mike gave the line a grade of A- saying "the Ravens dismantled the Pittsburgh running game and stymied halfback Le'Veon Bell...the Steelers couldn't get inside the tackles, thanks to Brandon Williams, Lawrence Guy, Timmy Jernigan, and Michael Pierce." Mike gave the linebackers a grade of A- also, and the secondary picked up a grade of B+ with Mike saying "the Ravens kept the Steelers under control for nearly three quarters until Pittsburgh decided to go with the no huddle and take control of the pace."
Mike finished up by giving the special teams unit a grade of B and the coaching staff picked up a grade of C.
