Mike Locksley Talks Terps Football On Sports Rehab
Head Coach of the Maryland Terrapins football team, Mike Locksley, joined Sports Rehab with Bob Haynie to recap last weeks loss and preview this weeks game against Iowa.
After back to back tough losses to Ohio State and Penn State, Coach Locksley talks about the difference makers in those games. "The achilles heel for us all year has been turnovers. Our inability to make plays on the deep ball came back to haunt us. To be in a game still with 1:20 left after turning it over five times shows that we're close. Now we've got to finish."
Coach Locksley talked about how the Terps have tried to cater the offense to quarterback Perry Hills' skill set. "Once we stabilized the position with Perry being the starter, I told the other guys on the offensive side of the ball 'Lets focus on what he does well and make sure we build our gameplan around that skill set.' What we've tried to do the last two weeks with Perry is accentuate his positives and that's where you have seen him make plays with his feet."
